Now it is D-Day! Dan and his helper showed up and I met him at the door. OK, let me sidetrack here. What can you say about Dan! You have one terrific employee/installer in him! He is so friendly and down to earth you cannot help but love the guy? He was open to questions and explained how it was coming down, etc. I felt like within the first few hours this was someone I could ask to be a friend. I felt extremely comfortable with him having a key to my house.
Now I sidetracked for a reason. As you know I have a daughter. She is 15 and yes, I am an overprotective father. I asked her how she felt home alone with them, and she was not sure. This is not negative toward Dan, but she liked him too. However, she wanted me here on the days she was with me. So, I took a few days off, so she felt secure. One of the days I took off I had 5 Zoom meetings and I used a back bedroom for the meetings. I could not believe how he worked around my schedule and his need to finish up that small hallway. How many workmen do that?
On top of that when there is work to be done it was done. He did not waste time and was dedicated to his work. He presented as an artist and my floor was his canvas. He took pride in knowing all corners, joints, etc. fitted together perfectly. I know have a home I love even more and am proud to have people over. You have a “gem” in Dan and please treat him right. According to Dan, you folks do and he loves working for you and feels he is treated with respect. That doesn't happen much in today's world!
I remember the first night I came home from work and some of the wood was put down. I was in awe. I loved it so much and I had a few tears form in my eyes! I just stood there, then sat there for a while and admired the difference and realized I made the right decision. I made the right decision in going with Friendly Floors.
My daughter and I frequently talk about how great the work looks and I thank you, but more importantly Dan for his skills which is what makes it look so good!!!!!
Thank you, Friendly Floors!
Sincerely,
Dr. Hamilton “Kip” Emery
